Frederick High School’s innovative LYNX program, which stands for Linking Youth to New Experiences, recently hosted First Sight Frederick to inspire students with an in-depth look at career pathways in the rapidly evolving field of ultrasound imaging. LYNX, which emphasizes individualized student success by offering choices in academic and career goals, welcomed First Sight Frederick to introduce students to opportunities in medical imaging, patient care, and entrepreneurship.
During the presentation, Jessica, the owner and founder of First Sight Frederick, shared her journey with ultrasound and provided students with direction in which to start their own pathway into the career of sonography. Jessica highlighted the importance of medical imaging and first hand experiences within the field. For students at Frederick High School, the presentation was an opportunity to see how state-of-the-art technology and compassionate care come together to make an impact on the community. Students left inspired by the possibilities of a career that combines medical expertise, innovative technology, and customer care—all while delivering unforgettable experiences.
Through this partnership with LYNX, First Sight Frederick hopes to continue supporting Frederick’s youth in exploring diverse and fulfilling career pathways, preparing the next generation to succeed in a field where science and compassion intersect.
